Learning & Development Specialist (32-40 hours)

What will you be doing?

You, the Learning & Development Specialist, take care of the further development of our employees. You advice, implement policies and programs, define new processes and provide the necessary trainings. You will be working on specific projects such as succession planning, leadership development, global onboarding, a high potential program, job evaluations and e-learnings.

In this L&D role, you will liaise with various line managers and employees, discuss their needs and develop the L&D program accordingly. Of course you will also follow up on the program and assess whether learning goals have been achieved and what can be improved or changed for future.

In addition, you contribute to the development and implementation of the Performance Management and Talent Development strategy. You arrange workshops, collect and analyze data and follow the latest developments.

In short, a versatile and new role within BRB. Learning & Development was always part of our daily work, however we believe that the development of our employees should be given a more prominent position. Development and engagement of our employees support our further growth.

The team

You will be working in a relatively small team in the Netherlands consisting of 5 colleagues. A team in which we work hard, but where enjoyment and laughter are important as well. Every day we end the day together at 4 P.M. (at the office and/or via Teams). Frequently we have as well international meetings with our HR colleagues. And in case of any questions, your colleagues are always available and willing to help.

What do you bring?

This is a new role in our organization and we expect a lot from you. We are looking for someone who has a track record in employee development. Someone who is able to use his or her experience to further evolve this role. Perhaps you currently hold a L&D position or you have an HR position with experience in this field and would like to focus more on Learning & Development.

In any case, you like working with and for people and you find the development of people extremely important. That is what gives you energy. Naturally, you have very good communication skills, both verbal and written, and you are able to deal with different people in various positions and with different backgrounds and cultures. In this role, you will also collaborate with our colleagues from PETRONAS headquarters.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone:

  • With a relevant Bachelor or University degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in an international HR role;
  • With excellent English skills, verbal and in writing, Dutch is an advantage;
  • Who lives within a feasible commuting distance from Ittervoort.
