Wat ga je doen

At BRB, we provide products for many different applications, such as cosmetics, healthcare, food contact, and lubricants. As a regulatory affairs officer, you ensure that these products comply with national and international chemical regulations.

You maintain our safety data sheets and other regulatory documents to keep them compliant. You also inform relevant departments within BRB worldwide about matters such as REACH restrictions.

You provide customers with regulatory documents upon request, such as REACH and safety data sheets. You supply data and keep customers informed with the latest information regarding product compliance.

Additionally, you monitor global developments in chemical legislation relevant to BRB and our customers. Finally, depending on your expertise, you participate in projects such as UK REACH or KKDIK registration.

The team

Your team consists of four colleagues in the Netherlands, one in Malaysia, one in the US, and the team lead of regulatory affairs in Ittervoort. We are a fairly diverse team with a strong sense of togetherness, even though we don’t physically work together. In our job, it’s important to adapt to changing circumstances and have a high tolerance for stress.

Wat wij jou bieden

The acquisition of BRB International by PETRONAS offers you the best of both worlds: the advantages of a large corporate organization, but the freedom to implement your own ideas in an entrepreneurial environment. Additionally, we nurture your personal ambitions.

There's more to offer:

  • a good salary matching your knowledge and skills;
  • a position for 32-40 hours per week;
  • bonus scheme of up to 2 months’ salaries, 8% holiday allowance, 29 vacation days and 2 extra days if you don’t have sick leave for a calendar year;
  • the ability to purchase up to 5 additional leave days per year;
  • the possibility to work partly from home and set your own working hours;
  • travel allowance (home-work) of 21 cents per km with a max of 50 km for a single journey;
  • pension plan (defined contribution scheme) with only 4% employee contribution and WGA gap and supplementary insurance;
  • company phone and laptop;
  • free fruit at our offices;
  • staff events with just a little more. For example, an annual company party, Christmas event and BRB treats to cake regularly for celebrating the birthdays of their employees.

Wat je meebrengt

It is important that you have a chemical background and experience with REACH regulations. You have an eye for detail, are confident, and can set priorities well. Additionally, you are results-oriented without compromising on quality. You can work well independently and enjoy working in a small team.

What else do you bring:

  • a bachelor's degree, preferably in chemistry and/or you have experience in chemistry;
  • at least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • an excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written;
  • experience with Safety Data Sheet is a plus;
  • knowledge of international legislation regarding chemical products and ingredients such as REACH, CLP, cosmetic and food regulation.

You can really help us build and grow further together. Small details in your work can have a big impact. You will be working in a responsible position with a diverse range of tasks in an international environment.

Since you will also be working partly from the office, it's important that you reside in the Ittervoort area (Limburg, The Netherlands) or are willing to relocate.
